Spurgeon, An Awful Premonition
Found this sermon in a collection of sermons from C. H. Spurgeon on the second coming of Christ. I'm not entirely convinced by his explanation of the meaning of the passage, but I was profoundly moved by his description of the second death, the true judgment to come. It would be hard to read this, let alone to have heard it when it was originally preached, and not feel the weight of eternal punishment that must forever weigh down the ungodly. It's well worth reading and considering.
